Revelator is announcing its latest international expansion, following its recent office opening in Japan.
To lead its efforts in the dynamic Latin American market, Revelator has tapped Luciana Pegorer, ex-Warner Music Brazil, former Merlin board member and music business innovator, and Arturo Soler, a music professional in the industry with strategic insights and regional expertise.
They will each provide both client support and business development in their respective regions. Pegorer is located in Brazil and will be leading Revelator’s local Brazilian office while Arturo will lead the company’s LATAM office out of Mexico.
The Latin American music scene has experienced exponential growth, evident in recent data published by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in April 2023. In a notable achievement, revenues from Latin recorded music in the US surpassed $1 billion in 2022, marking a remarkable 23.8% increase from the year 2021.
Brazil is the largest market in Latin America by recorded music revenues, reaching $489 million in 2022 (Pro-Música Brasil), and is one of the ten largest music markets in the world, with half a billion dollars in music distribution alone in 2022, a 15.4% increase from the previous year.
A former flute player, Pegorer is a veteran executive of the Brazilian music industry and the global music marketplace. She started out in a live concert production company, followed by seven years at Warner Music Brazil, and 15 years at her own label/publishing company Delira Musica. Luciana led the Brazilian Independent Music Association for 6 years and served for 8 years on the board of Merlin. She runs the most prestigious music business conference in the country, Trends Brasil Conference, and recently co-founded the web3 music label company KickOff Music, built to help indie artists join the NFT ecosystem.
With a passion for Latin American culture and music, Soler brings a unique combination of innovation and deep market knowledge. Based in Mexico, Soler has more than a decade of experience that spans many key markets, including Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Bolivia. Collaborating with digital distributors, music label companies, artist management firms, managers, and technological entrepreneurs, Soler knows how to bridge cultures and harness technology to expand artists’ reach and impact.
“Revelator has always operated globally but we saw that to serve the fast-changing Latin American market, we needed highly qualified, creative professionals with deep relationships, who were natives to the local market” notes Revelator founder and CEO Bruno Guez. “We found them in Luciana and Arturo, and we’re eager to provide our groundbreaking music asset management, business insights, and royalty administration for independent music companies across the region.”
